Tips and Warning :
- Purchase a non-slip yoga mat cover or bring towels for your mat. Sweat will make you slip and slide. Leave the room if you feel yourself overheating.
- Drinking water is very important. You will sweat a lot, so it is crucial that you replenish by drinking lots of water, both throughout the day (before if yoga is late at night, and after if it is in the morning), and during your practice.
- Don’t push yourself too hard especially in the beginning . you may feel the need to go into Child’s Pose and just relax occasionally.

During an ashtanga practice, you’ll work through a strenuous series of poses, carefully coordinating your breath and movements. Each asana or pose requires a specific series of inhalations and exhalations.
